BREVARD — College Walk and Mountain Home Care are offering a free presentation to caregivers of persons with dementia from 10am - 4pm, May 12 at the College Walk Retirement Community, 100 North College Row Brevard, NC 28712. Heather McKay, an occupational Therapist and Dementia Care Specialist with Partnerships for Health (www.pfhnc.com), will present an information packed program on dementia care. Memory Care holds Caregiver Workshop:
ASHEVILLE — Memory Care and Mountain Home Care are offering a free workshop to caregivers of persons with dementia from 2–4 p.m. March 1 at the Givens Performing Arts Center, 2360 Sweeten Creak Road. “Typical Progression of Dementia – What Can You Do to Help?” will feature nationally renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow and is designed to increase understanding of dementia stages and how best to help a patient through each stage.
